Keep track of your racing by entering the race's web sites addresses, dates, distance, time you ran, place (if it matters :-), and some small note for yourself..
Yearly Training Plan Page
Here you will enter general information in regard to your yearly distibution of running. You may concentrate on entering monthly milage, or you may decide during which months will be running your base, strength, and/or speed workouts. This would be a great place to plan your races as well.
This page could become an inventory of your favorite running routes, or roads. It is nice to have them all at a glance, with names, distances and levels of difficulty. You might for example decide on which course will you be running on what day.
Shopping List
Cut this page out of your journal and make several copies for future use. Make a weekly, or monthly grocery or shopping list and take it with you to your favorite store.
The Contacts Page is just what it says it is: the listing of names, phone numbers, e-mails, and addresses of your family members, friends, and significant others. It is nice to always have your close ones within your reach.
Distances Covered & Cross Training Log
You never know, when it might be handy to have all your yearly milage in one basket. It will definitely help you to have all this data when you, for example, start planning your training for the next-year marathon you always wanted to run.
This one is one of my all-time favorite bonus pages. Like before, cut this one off the journal and make several copies. If you are like me, and never take your cell phone with you on your long run, you might find this bonus page very useful! When you are ready to go for a long run, and nobody else but you knows where you will be roaming for the next couple of hours, jot down the course's location and times of your departure. Place it on your refrigerator door, and go do your run without the kind of worries like "what if..."
