1 Today's To Do
This top section of the page, makes it possible for you to write down a couple of most important things you need to remember to accomplish during this particular day.
2 Major/Secondary/Other Goals for 2010
Write down the year's goals each day; it will help you to stay focused! Have more than one, and not necessarily running-related goal. Remember to occasionally re-evaluate your goals as you go.
3 Today's Date & Day
4 Today's Motivational Message (Quotes)
In this section of the Runalog, you will find 365 quotes not only by significant motivational speakers such as Anthony Robbins but more importantly by well-known athletes and even famous runners, like Jim Ryan, John Walker, Joan Benoit, Frank Shorter, and Carl Lewis.
5 Month Day-by-Day Chart
Lets you visualize the progression of the current month. The schematic allows you to mark the days of the month you are done with and even write down the run's planned distance or time for that particular month and week in the small squares allocated for each day of the month.
6 My Weekly Running Schedule/Plan
Simply put, the Weekly Running Schedule helps you to plan your running week day by day and then, at the end of each month, tally it all on the Monthly Summary and Mileage (or Kilometers) Sheet included as one of the bonus pages at the end of the Runalog.
7 My Running Journal
The difference between runner's log and runner's journal is like a difference between making a grocery shopping list and entering your experience of shopping for groceries in your personal diary. Here you put your heart to describe your feelings, emotions, significant occasions or other worth-mentioning events that happened to you either during running, racing, or just during your regular day.
8 Daily Planner
This is where you will plan your day hour-by-hour. Write down what you will do at particular hour and include any important events as well as your planned workouts.
9 My Running Log
Running log, is not the same as Running Journal. While the first one is designed for the runner to note a number, quantity, or time-oriented, quantitative data, the second one is for writing down thoughts and, or observations that are often subjective and more like a personal diary. Subdivided into several individual mini-logs such as: time and distance ran that day, workout content, stretching, weight-lifting, cross-training, as well as day's diet, Runner's Log is kind of a self-educational entity allowing you to record your actions and deeds for learning purposes; so you don't make the same mistake twice. For example, the Running log could prove to be a very useful monitoring tool for determining either "successful," or "not-so-successful" pre- or post- race meal.
10 Months of the Year Chart
This graphic simply shows you the progression of the year by highlighting the months; showing you visually where you are in the year.
u wish include a schematic drawing of your course with street names or other landmarks. I am sure such a detailed note about your long run will go a long way to satisfy your family, plus, you can peacefully concentrate on your running.
